Vapour barrier films are used to protect the building enclosing structures and heat insulation from indoor moisture – vapour. Since even small holes in vapour barrier rapidly reduce the efficiency of thermal insulation, the connections of the vapour barrier to the constructive elements and overlap sites must be taped with moisture-resistant, non-drying adhesive tapes (for example, Tyvek Butil Tape)
