Properties of cellular polycarbonate
Weight - Cellular polycarbonate is much lighter than traditionally used glass. Consequently, the load on the building is much less than when using glass.
Light transmission - cellular polycarbonate transmits up to 80% of light.
Impact resistance - cellular polycarbonate is more than 200 times stronger than glass.
Safety - polycarbonate does not change its properties at temperatures from -40 to +130 degrees. Cellular polycarbonate is highly flammable and has a flammability / fire spread class of b-s1, d0 (b1). In other words, polycarbonate does not burn by itself.
Processing options - cellular polycarbonate is easy to process. For its processing - bending, cutting, drilling, fastening, etc. - no special work accessories required. In addition, cellular polycarbonate can be bent cold. The bending radius of this material is 150 x the thickness of the material in millimeters. This is a significant advantage over glass.
